Frequently asked questions

How do I register to become a distributor?

Registering your interest to become a distributor only takes a minute, click 'Join the pilot'. If selected, we’ll let you know when jobs become available in your area and what information we need from you to complete your first job.

Who can become a Circulate distributor?

To deliver with Circulate, you must be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa, and you must be 18 years of age or older.

How does delivering with Circulate work?

Circulate offers local flyer delivery jobs to distributors through the app. When a job is available, you can review the payout, estimated delivery time and number of deliverable addresses, as well as the pickup and route details before choosing whether to accept it.

Once accepted, you must pick up the flyers and complete the delivery on foot within the specified timeframes. When you've completed the job, submit it for review in the app.

What do I need to deliver with Circulate?

You’ll need a smartphone, the Circulate app, the ability to complete local walking routes, a NZ bank account, and basic tax details for payout setup.

You do not need previous delivery experience.

Where is Circulate available?

Circulate is launching first in Auckland. During the pilot, jobs will only be available in selected Auckland areas.

Do I have to accept every job?

No. You choose which available jobs you want to accept. You can review the payout, mapped area and job details before accepting.

Do I need to print or buy the flyers?

No. Flyers are provided for accepted jobs. You do not need to print or buy campaign materials yourself.

Can I drive or bike the route?

Circulate jobs must be completed on foot. You may use transport to pick up the flyers or get to the job area, but the delivery itself must be completed by walking.

Do you track deliveries?

Yes. Circulate uses GPS while you are completing an accepted job. This helps confirm route coverage, support delivery review, and protect payout checks.

GPS is only used to track the job you choose to accept and complete through the Circulate app.

Location tracking:

  • starts only when a distributor taps Start tracking on an accepted job,
  • is collected while the delivery is actively in progress,
  • may continue in the background while the phone is locked, so the delivery route can be recorded for the full delivery,
  • stops automatically when the delivery ends.

The recorded delivery route will be shown to the client who booked the campaign on the delivery map, together with coverage information, delivery totals, and related proof-of-delivery outputs.

For more information about how we handle your personal information, you can refer to our Privacy Policy.

How do I get paid?

After you complete a job and submit it for review, Circulate checks and validates that you have properly completed delivery. Once our checks are complete, payment is released to your nominated NZ bank account within 2 business days.

Do I need to be GST registered?

Not necessarily. If you earn under 60K as an independent contractor, you may not need to be GST registered.
